If you want to discuss racism,

If you want to discuss racism,
Bring on the harsh facts
I don’t care about guilt trip feelings….
We’re goin to talk about reality…
Cold reality…like what black people have to
Go through everyday…

Everyday it’s about race….
Everyday when it comes to news
Or among friends or coworkers
It’s about race…we don’t see it
In every single thing…but it’s there….

I don’t like how people say
Why is it about race?
Why do you think it’s obvious?
It’s in our faces….

If you wanna discuss racism,
I don’t give a fuck on How uncomfortable
White people feel…How the Chinese feel…
How the Indians feel how Native Americans feel…
If you wanna discuss this heavy topic,
Just be real…be bolder..
Don’t be afraid….

Put your backbone into it,
Say somethin from your soul…
Speak your anger….
Forget about the sterns, the yellings

Racism is an issue…
Racism didn’t go anywhere
But here on earth breathin
Into our lungs….

Don’t sugar coat
Don’t bring up Martin Luther king speech..
No need to explain skin color doesn’t matter
Honey it does….

You may be ignorant
However
You could see it
An elephant
You chose to turn the other cheek
Cos you don’t wanna hear it…

You defend racism
Sayin it’s in the past….
Well the past is a broken record
Another remix….
Strange fruits still happenin
In 2024
They called it a foul play
Called it a suicide

Though
We can’t discuss racism
We can’t discuss how whiteness has fucked us up
And fuck us over….

See
I discuss racism in poetry
Cos I want people to think
And to talk and to do somethin
About it

Racism is a major problem
All over the world
Not just in USA….

If you wanna discuss racism,
Be my guest
I’d love to hear your input
Cos

We’re at war….
We’re on the chessboard
We’re on the monopoly..
Racism is violence
Racism is oppression…
And I would like to

Black people
Can’t be racist
Cos we never have
Power…we should be
Racist, we should have
Power…meanin we should be on
Our own, workin together
Buildin our own economy
Without the involvement of
A white man….

Not invitin
Anybody
Else
Except black people
We should gatekeep
Our shit….
The problem is that

We black people don’t
Wanna do that..we invite
Everybody to the cookout
Sayin it doesn’t matter
What color you are…
Too many of us
Never understand
The racism..majority of us
Don’t get the system as we should
Though we don’t wanna read
We don’t wanna do a research…

And if you wanna discuss racism
You can’t convince everybody
Most don’t wanna speak about it
Some laugh
Some ignore
Some roll their eyes
Some interrupt and change the subject….

The fact people don’t care
Til it happens to them….

So unfortunate…💔😢🤬💯✊🏿©️Kai C. 10-21-24
