Since god Is black

Since god is black
And he’s everywhere
I’m sure white people
Will lynch him….
Or racist officers
Will beat him too death..
Callin him nigger
Or make him their black friend..
Dehumanize him like an animal
Yet he can’t die…
White people have whiten him up.
White him out
Though he’s still around….
Give him blue eyes and blond hair
And he shook that bleach off
Still he’s black…
Dark skin
Fresh melanin
A gorgeous man
Who walked the earth
And his people still think god is white
It hurts his soul…

Listen
I’m not a Christian
But I’m goin to give you somethin
To think…
Think about the lies that colonizers told
About god and Christianity
Think about slavery
And how about abuse becomes trauma that’s been passed
Down for generations…
Don’t ever give me a speech about the skin color doesn’t matter
I never need to hear that shit…

Cos of the system painted that man white…
Once you find out he’s black, he’s still never goin to save you…
He ain’t real….for real for real, black people need to save themselves

Save themselves out of misery, out of predicament..

When I learned about Christianity and how it affects black race so
Badly, I stopped thinkin about this is a good religion..
It’s not…
This is why I write poems like this cos I’ve seen how it affects us so tremendously….

And since god is black
Accordin to the truth
And he’s masculine
White folks will always buckbreak him…
And what if god is a black woman,
I’m sure she will get whitewashed, too…

Christians will go after me
For speakin the truth…
They will get triggered…
They never like what I said
But I gotta say or write somethin to make you think…
Yes I have Christians in my family and if they read my poems
Their feelings will possibly hurt…

But I don’t wanna stop writin facts about
Christianity affects black people…
I don’t wanna get told to stop
Pennin my heart and soul out …

Let me give you some food of thought,
If you heard a story of a colonizer forced your ancestors to believe
In Christianity, and forget your indigenous traditions,
That’s when you should stop believin in Christ…
That’s when you should stop readin the Bible
That’s when you start askin questions…

And durin the times of slavery
There was so much abuse, and masters can be in their homes peacefully
Like nothin happened..they go to church and still think it’s nothin…
Do they ask god to forgive? I don’t think so…
So think about that, also…

I’m just spewin the truth…

Cos if god is black
Which he is
Or she is,
They shouldn’t enslaved the original people
At all
But they need to do it for their survival and greed…

Who looks like us
Even though some of us
Ain’t Christian…
Although we do have a thought
And ponder
And question

Or a bridge
Knowin all the races came from him
You tightroped your own
Father….
You scared of his black masculinity…
You ate his penis
You make him out to be a souvenir

And then
He haunted you on judgment day…
And his people terrorized you…
On judgment day…
