Bread is not actually unhealthy…
The Frankenstein modern bread is. Modern bread is full of toxic garbage like l cysteine, made from human hair, potassium bromate, refined flours, seed oils, bleach and pesticides.
Real bread is made with just flour, salt, water, olive oil and is fermented for 3 days.
Our grandparents ate loads of bread and they were perfectly healthy.
But after the 1980s, we hybridized wheat, increased the gluten content and made it more shelf stable with loads of cheap preservatives. This bread is definitely poison that you should avoid.
However, I believe that if you can source real homemade fermented bread, it can be a great addition to your diet.
L-cystine is an amino acid that can be used as a dough conditioner in bread production. It helps to strengthen the dough by promoting the formation of disulfide bonds, which enhances the elasticity and extensibility of gluten. This can lead to improved dough handling, better gas retention during fermentation, and an overall better texture and volume of the final baked product.
However, it's important to note that L-cystine can be derived from various sources, including animal-based materials like feathers or hair, which may be a concern for vegetarians, vegans, or those adhering to certain dietary restrictions. There are also synthetic and plant-based alternatives available.
