You can't turn off the re-gen without removing the exhaust filter or is will plug shut. Mine plugged shut at 150K miles and needed replaced. I took the EGR, EGR Cooler and exhaust filter off of mine and put an H&S XRT Pro Hot Damn 300 programmer with a 3" aftercooler and 4 or 5" 6.4 powerstroke straight pipe pipe on my truck. But the truck now has power beyond my wildest imagination and supposedly putting 575 HP to the rear tires now.
