My YouTube feed is fucking trash. No matter how many PS5 or dragon ball sparking zero content I watch and like, my home feed is filled with irrelevant content that has nothing to do with the content I am subscribed to let alone the stuff I actively watch.

I feel like all social media have changed their algorithms to work for what the majority of people are interested in now or whay they think the majority should be watching.

And the algorithm for YouTube on my TV is different than what it is on my phone. My TV almost always has ASMR/meditation/sleep videos almost exclusively inudating every option I have to watch content on my TV. My phone changes sporadically in ways that make it seem as if the choice to watch what I want is being taken away from me and the algorithm temporarily suppresses the content I normally enjoy to push Tik Tok-esque content

i was reading fb and I promise the comments on a video were exactly the same as what i read months ago but it says it's all new 😮 scary what technology can do. our memories will be challenged in this next fight, and it will be tough to stand against the fight for memories
