If you see black truck drivers
Goin to that place,
To pick up stuff and drop off…
Please tell them
To be safe….
I heard a black body was lynched
Recently…
And you thought America has learned
Its lesson…
Nope…
This is 2025,
And North Carolina has another
Coverup…they’re goin to wait
Til their deathbed confession or
Take it to the grave…
Love to keep bloody
Incidents a secret….
Let it be known that southern states
Are picture perfect when they ain’t…
They still carry terror….
Sayin I don’t see color
Racism is over….
But In sundown towns
White folks still decorate
The trees with melaninated bodies
And call it suicide….
I’m sure what’s disturbin is that
Some black people who lived in the south
Makin excuses for the horrors..
Cos honestly they were trained not to speak on it
Knowin those bodies that look like them..
They learned to turn the other cheek
But deep down their anger boils up in their bones
So is their regret…
And how many times have I said this is why racism needs
To be talked about?
North Carolina isn’t the only one,
Lynchings are deeply hidden in other places
And they don’t make it to the news
Cos again, they wanna look like picture perfect
They have to fake an American dream….
Bloody hands and shame crush the illusion….
Knowin that history repeats itself again and again
And they wanna repeat itself forever
Without good citizens learnin about it..
Not a word, not a complaint, nobody is allowed to
Advocate against lynchings, against strange fruit
Or people will get death threats…or death turns
Into conspiracy….
You know
North Carolina is wrong..
You know that,
And not a lot of people speakin about the lynchin
That happened in April
Cos they don’t know
Possibly they might not care….
If Ida Bells was alive right now
She would write about this and post it online
Even Billie Holiday would still Sing strange fruit
On livestreams…
Lettin the world that it hasn’t changed
It stays concealed..
Black people are still cryin
And white America was like get over it…
Sometimes they double down and fake apology
Without accountability
It’s why I condone violence
Cos stuff like this….
You know it’s wrong,
You know violence is the right answer..
Whether you agree or not
In your soul, in your spirit
You know this is necessary to strike back
Think about what Malcolm X said,
Think about what Rodney Hinton did
You gotta do what you gotta do..
Even if you have to go to jail…
I don’t wish black people to go behind bars,
But if that’s what it takes, without fear
So be it
They have no choice to fight back
To defend themselves…
There are consequences I understand however
We want justice we want freedom
and to North Carolina,
I hope black people will come after you
Even if you got military base has your back
They will still rise and beat your ass in the middle of next week..
