I know y'all don't believe in Sodom and Gomorrah, but guess what? Y'all are sure living in it right now though...Lol 😆.
EVERYTHING for me, my family, friends is finger food. Though I'll use a spoon for soup, but a wooden spoon is preferred. That's how we grew up 😊
Listen for carefully to the Elders Wisdom.
For many people in India, Africa, Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean, using a fork or other utensils to eat is unthinkable and can even be frowned upon. These traditions are starting to become more common throughout the United States, because there is belief that eating with the hands has several surprising benefits.
Beyond ancient theories, improved digestion is one of the believed health benefits that can come from eating with hands. This is said because of the ingestion of “Normal Flora” that occurs. Normal Flora is bacteria found on the palms and fingers that protects the skin and body from harmful microbes in the environment. Ingesting this helps keep several areas of the body healthy and improve digestion. Eating with the hands can also prevent over-eating. This is because when we tend to eat slower without a fork, which improves digestion.
“My spirit resonates so well with Africa because it is like a time warp back to nature; needed because sometimes we can feel so distant from it. If you pay attention, this land will remind you to move slowly, to abide by natures timing. She will remind you to not be afraid to connect with the dirt, the food, the insects. She will laugh when you rush, she will provide divine wisdom."
This is why westerners may have a tough time here, we are trained to honor a patriarchal system. When mama Africa is indeed divine feminine..
To be able to sit in a village and cook and listen and commune around the wisdom of the elders is a Blessing...
