If you're a typical family of four, you need to start your food storage. It consists of:

20 lbs of brown or white rice
20 lbs of pinto or black beans
10 cans of canned meat
5 containers of powdered milk
10 cases of pasta
20 lbs of oats
salt
5 cases of 24 case water
10 containers of gallon water
3 containers of peanut butter
Honey
10 jars of spaghetti sauce
5 cases of cooking oil
10 cases of canned fruit
10 cases of canned vegetables

There are other items like coffee and oatmeal, just remember your local grocery store only has about 3 days of stored products in them. Don't act like you don't have the money for this when you spend it's equivalent on bs every month.
