Yes I have Christians in my family and if they read my poems
Their feelings will possibly hurt…

But I don’t wanna stop writin facts about
Christianity affects black people…
I don’t wanna get told to stop
Pennin my heart and soul out …

Let me give you some food of thought,
If you heard a story of a colonizer forced your ancestors to believe
In Christianity, and forget your indigenous traditions,
That’s when you should stop believin in Christ…
That’s when you should stop readin the Bible
That’s when you start askin questions…

And durin the times of slavery
There was so much abuse, and masters can be in their homes peacefully
Like nothin happened..they go to church and still think it’s nothin…
Do they ask god to forgive? I don’t think so…
So think about that, also…
