Please tell me, what have missed?

Growing up in West Bmore, I had the privilege of not only having a strong Black father who was present, I also grew up around strong, quiet, serious, extremely dangerous men, if prompted. While older in age, these are some of the brothers who exemplified strength, carried themselves with dignity and respect, and did not play. They were athletes, hard-working, college-educated (in some cases), no-nonsense brothers, who looked you straight in the eye, and told you how it is. You had to be what you say, which is why I kept my mouth shut when necessary, and earned the respect granted, by doing what I said I would do, in the street, and in life. Edmondson Village, West Baltimore forever!

Random thought: radio feels more “human” than streaming sometimes.

With playlists and algorithms, everything is optimized. But with radio, there’s still a DJ, a theme, a mood — sometimes even mistakes. It feels alive.
