Ugandan ЁЯЗ║ЁЯЗм officials have strongly criticized the World Bank ЁЯПж and Western nations for their perceived тАЬhypocrisyтАЭ after the global lender suspended lending for projects in Uganda ЁЯЗ║ЁЯЗм.

The World BankтАЩs decision was prompted by UgandaтАЩs enactment of a new anti-homosexuality ЁЯП│я╕ПтАНЁЯМИ law, which the Bank cited as a violation of its values.

UgandaтАЩs ЁЯЗ║ЁЯЗм State Minister for Foreign Affairs Henry Okello Oryem said the move by the World Bank was hypocritical.

He accused the Western entities of being quick to lecture vulnerable countries about democracy, only to turn around and punish them when they do what doesnтАЩt suit the interests of Western powers and allied institutions.
