All federally regulated employers in Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ are now required to stock free feminine hygiene products such as tampons and menstrual pads in all male restrooms โ€” including airports and military bases.

The new regulations, which went into effect earlier this month under Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeauโ€™s left-wing administration, specify that menstrual products must be in โ€œall toilet rooms, regardless of their marked genders,โ€ according to Canadaโ€™s Employment and Social Development website.

โ€œThis means that every female-identified, male-identified and all-gender toilet rooms will need to have menstrual products,โ€ the website says, noting that the availability of these items โ€œbetter protects menstruating employees and makes sure that they feel safe to use the toilet room that best reflects their gender.โ€
