I had a good time yesterday attending the 11th Annual Black Comic Book Festival at the Schomburg Center for Afrikan Research in Harlem NYC. There were soooo many black (and brown) writers, cartoonist and creators of comic books of all kinds. I took the opportunity to meet writer/artist and comic book creator Ndugu A. Martinez who told me that she also works with Marvel comics occasionally on certain projects. Bought one of her books and had her autograph it for my daughter whom I'll give it to because she's an aspiring artist herself.
