Black people with special needs
Who deal with racism, too…
Black people with special needs
Who deal with racism, too…
Not just ableism….
People don’t know that
Forget that….
White supremacy doesn’t even care
If we have a wheelchair or a walker
Or if we’re deaf or have Down syndrome
They still judge our melanin
No matter what….
We do experience it,
Maybe a lot
Maybe a little
Some of us don’t experience it
And some of us are not aware
But there’s white supremacy everywhere
Especially in a disabled community….
I don’t remember what day I saw a TikTok video on Instagram
Though it was an autistic black man at a train
Gettin beaten up by white hispanics….
And everyone got their cameras out recordin the incident
Instead of helpin that young brother out…..
Not even our own people…..
So when I say
Black people with special needs
Have to deal with racism, too
I mean it….
I remember
A black man in a wheelchair got shot
By a cop
So yes
As a melaninated race
Across America
Even the whole world
We do have to protect ourselves
And protect each other….
Meanin we gotta put our phones down
And help each other
Especially when some can’t defend themselves….
We do deal with sexism, as well….
And I can say white supremacy is ableist, too
Cos they crippled all of us to the bone
Without us acknowledgin it……
They made us handicapped so they can consume
Us and our power
That’s how they conquer…..
And I hate the fact that they call us
Racist to make us look bad
When it’s them….
When white supremacy uses
Black people with special needs
As their “inspiration” like we’re bunch of
Token negroes cos we’re seen as happy people
Enjoyin life….not even understandin the
History behind all of this….
In special needs school in New York,
We learned about Martin Luther King jr….
The I Have A Dream speech
I don’t remember learnin about slavery….
We’re taught not to see color
But the character….
We never learn about white supremacy
Only some parents
Taught their kids with special needs
About racism as they grow up
They would go into a real world where
People are not our friends
Even if we’re with our staffs, our teachers
Our nurses, whoever
They are goin to see everythin
On social media
Out in the public
We’re goin to see everythin…
Some of us picked up things
Some don’t understand
Some feel racism through their gut feelings
But they can’t express themselves…
Even if it’s not racism
It’s ableism….
Or somethin else….
Maybe sexism….
I just want the world to
Know
Includin black people
That
Black people
With Disabilities
Have to deal with
White supremacy, too…
And we need to explain
What it is and how it works
Even if they don’t experience
Or don’t comprehend it
Just find creative ways to
Teach them, show them
Teach them about black history
And how to love our natural coils….
Give them pride and joy of being black….
Protect them guard them as if they’re your beautiful family
We have to remember
Not only ableism
It’s also white supremacy, too…
We get called niggers, monkeys
And some of our people without special needs be like
Y’all don’t know what we’ve been through…
Y’all don’t experience it
Like black community doesn’t hear our voices…
But we look like them, we feel like them
We dance like them we speak like them
Even though we have differences
We got melanin like them…..
It is also created a division and i blame the systematic racism, too.…
Kinda like being pushed out of the way…
We’re a part of black communities
Part of our melaninated race….
We’ve been programmed
We’ve been slaves…
We were there in the beginnin of time….
So….
Don’t forget about us, either…
We’re here…
In the black community
Alive
And
We have to deal with
Racism white supremacy, too…
We have to deal with all the isms
Even if some don’t understand what’s goin on…
